Together, we can help a child`s inner artist to shine!
Giving Children a Home
Originally established in 1849 as an orphanage, St
Joseph’s has provided hope, help and healing to over
70,000 children in Kentucky. Today’s orphan is likely
to have living parents who are overwhelmed with the
effects of drug or alcohol abuse, domestic violence or
mental health issues. The boys and girls they serve are
ages 6-14 years, many of whom have experienced as
many as 5 or 6 different “homes” before coming to St
Joe’s. These children come to St. Joe’s broken and torn
having their innocent childhoods stolen from them and
have suffered at the hands of the adults in whom they
should have been able to trust the most. Through the
care and services St. Joe’s provides they learn how to
control negative impulses, build friendships and allow
themselves to be loved. They’re goal is to reunite these
children with their biological families if possible. Should
this prove not to be a possibility, they then find a foster
home and ultimately an adoptive home for them.

Uncover the REAL You: Taking off the Mask and Living Authentically
Do you know who you really are, or do you hide behind a façade of selected masks and prescribed roles that have been handed to you by others? Knowing who you are is important if you want to discover the full expression of your self, and to experience deep love, peaceful freedom and essential authenticity. Being real is created by aligning your internal and external worlds with your thoughts and actions. Creating new ways of - being in the world apart from your chosen roles takes time and courage. It requires a willingness to face fear, look deep inside and examine learned behaviors or bad habits. Only then can you experience being fully who you are not only with others, but also with the most important person, you. How do you want to show up in the world?
